Getting Inspired

As you can tell by my LONG list of Other Inspired Souls, I love reading and looking at the artwork on other people's blogs. I find much of my creative inspiration from these talented ladies, and am so grateful they are all so willing to share their talents with us!!

I don't usually copy someone's work directly, but I found a GORGEOUS card on Amy Rohl's blog, Ink About Me, and I knew I had to make a similar one. I am quite happy with my creation, and want to thank Amy for her BEAUTIFUL inspiration!!!

Everything about Amy's card inspired me--the design, the colors, the embellishments, the style of paper used. I changed very little of her design in my own creation, which is very unusual for me--a testament to Amy's great design. I guess I need to add her blog to my list!!!

supplies (all CTMH, unless otherwise noted):
Perfect Day Level 2 paper pack
Happy Birthday stamp set
Say it in Style stamp set
Designer Ribbon Rounds--black
Bigger Brads--black
Waxy Flax--white
button (from my stash)
embossed image (Cuttlebug by ProvoCraft)

colors: juniper, petal, black, colonial white, bamboo (distressing on edges)

size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

idea from: Amy Rohl
